Through the Veil's Edge
You hold or clip a section of spare veil directly in front of your lens and shoot the couple through it, so the frame edges dissolve into white haze with the couple sharp in a clear gap. The trick manufactures dreaminess on demand and hides messy venues at the same time. It captures a memory already in progress — the day as they'll remember it, not just as it looked.

📷 Lens
85mm f/1.4 wide open so the foreground tulle melts into pure glow; a 135mm f/1.8 pushes the effect even further with more compression.
⚙️ Settings
f/1.4–f/2, tulle a few centimetres from the front element, focus through the gap onto the near eye; move the fabric until the haze kisses the frame edges but leaves faces clear.
💡 Light
Backlight supercharges the glow of the foreground fabric; avoid flat dim light where the tulle reads as grey smear instead of shimmer.
🎬 For videographers
Drift the fabric slowly across the lens during a static shot for an organic in-camera transition — start clear, end fully white, cut. It splices scenes together better than any dissolve plugin.
